A Tale of Walmart
So I went to hang out with Valerie and Jennifer last night in a belated celebration of Valerie's birthday. I, of course, not buying a gift yet, dragged her to Sam Goody's and made her select an anime DVD under my nose (after dining delightfully at Ruby Tuesdays). Oh, of note, we ordered a Super Sampler, but it never came...So I can't tell you what that's like. The Ribeye steak was good though. And I ate a baked potato...for the first time.
After dropping Valerie off, Jennifer and I (you can read her rendition on her posts) started talking about random things. At first we thought we should place an add in the local newspaper for our friend Valerie (I'm reminded of the Golden Girls episode when Rose accidentally puts Dorothy's work add: "Will do anything for 8 dollars" under the Personals and Dorothy reads a Personals add that states something to the effect of History Professor seeks woman for tour of european cathedrals. Must be into Wesson oil and bear a resemblance to Florence Henderson). We thought something along the lines of Asian female looking for an Orlando Bloom lookalike, Japanese speaking a plus. Must be into anime. I'm sure the English Major will spiff it up.
One of the stories that Jennifer told Valerie was our sojourn to Walmart on 3.10.05 at night. I needed proof that Walmart was now open 24 hours on Ke'eamoku street. While perusing through the merchandise we chanced upon some fuzzy green pillows. With my handy dandy camera I proceeded to set up a shot with the automated timer. She had the pillow on her head when an engaging middle aged employee asked her if she would like some help. Calmly she turned to the employee and said no thank you. I started with gales of laughter. Anyways, here is the promised picture.

And another thing. Jennifer has noticed traffic from my site going over to her site. She thinks that because I update so infrequently people go to her site to see if she's had contact with me. Sometimes I recognize frequent IP addresses. So if you would be so kind to leave a comment or two, it would be appreciated. Then I'd know that someone else besides Jennifer is really reading this thing.
