Weekend of Frivolity

I'm definitely not as young as I was, not that I was every able to pull all nighters of frivolity and fun, but this weekend really drained me. For starters...

Friday: Pediatric Retreat. Lectures in the AM, then Boat Ride (yes I felt like puking), then was supposed to go bowling. But ended up going to eat Chinese food with my friends Kelly and Lum, then went to meet up with the peds people for some bowling, but never got to bowl cause BOWL-A-DROME SUCKS! Then went to watch Matchstick men, but I was so exhausted I fell asleep. I did wake up for certain portions of the movie...hehehee...so I have sort of an idea of what was going on. I guess I have to watch it again.

Saturday: I didn't wake up until 11AM. For people who know me that will sound really odd. I was supposed to have other friends over and the did come, but I had to hold them at bay for a half hour. I woke myself up and we played Soul Caliber II. One of my friends is leaving the rock for the sunny pastures of Oregon. Then we went to Jennifer's place and hung out (playing more Soul Caliber II, that game is addicting I tell you). I fell asleep while they played a 4 player XBox Game. Then we went out for dinner at Zippys. Came back to my place and had an adventure with the DVD player. Basically my Lilo and Stitch is a casualty. DVD player appeared to be broken, but in retrospect I think I had the cables wrong, but I was so tired my brain wasn't functioning. So my friend gave everyone a ride home while I fell into a sleepless slumber.

Sunday: Woke up. Drove to Circuit City to exchange the DVD player. Got there at 9:15 AM and to my chagrin found out that it didn't open until 10AM. So I grabbed myself my crack fix (Jamba Juice) and read the Sunday Paper. The Bus Strike is becoming idiotic. The union should find a better representative than Kanahele, he makes them appear so greedy in public, not a very good public relations person. I exchanged my DVD player. I went home and just chilled the rest of the afternoon. Fell asleep. Went to Tower where I finally purchased my Law and Order Season One and Will and Grace Season One. Twenty two hours of Law and Order on DVD, so I can cue them up when I want. No more arranging eating times around the TV :-). My friend Jennifer told me that I should just use my VHS. I should ya? Anyways, that was my weekend folkses. Back to the daily grind.
